That's what I was hoping for....

So Far 500 miles, taking it to Buar Millet and back and the 2 trips to the SVA Station. Fuel meter says 21.8 mpg US. So that 24.5 MPG UK.... Mostly motorway miles, though, will be interesting to see what the daily comute will be...

Yank gallons are great. I drove from Edgware through rush hour traffic to Cardiff down a congested M4 in lousy weather in my supercharged Mustang loping along at 80mph plus and it returned 24mpg which is 28mpg in UK currency.

I do. My options list includes:

G90 - 3.15 AXLE RATIO
G92 - PERFORMANCE AXLE RATIO

I thinlk all Euro Spec C5s had the performance axle. Why do you ask???

Spoke to a gent with a 99 who said at 100mpg his auto would sit at 2100 rpm... Mine is nearer 3000. The standard ratio is 2.7 ish.. What times do they do in the Quarter ?

Quarter mile times for Vettes run at Shoreham airport earlier this year showed '99 autos will consistently run under 13 sec out of the box.

Best time was Mrs TEKWIZ at 12.69.

Red '99 automatics seem to be rather quick!

Autos generally come as standard with the 2.93 rear end (including the Euro spec models) while the manuals get the lower ratio as standard. The 1997 manual Corvette ran the quarter in 13.3. The autos tend to be mid-13's. Interestingly (or not as the case may be), the 1997 Autocar test Corvette had the auto and the 3.15 rear end and still Autocar managed to produce possibly the worst figures ever achieved from an LS1.

Er...Mrs (not Mr Tekwiz) has a modified vette! Take a look at the mods under her bonnet next time you see her. Vararam or Vortex intake for starters........

Just leaves us with 12.82 without any mod's at all. Apart from switching off the A/C that is!

BTW that 2,100 rpm at 100 mph in an auto doesn't sound right to me.
