Here's a few snaps of a friend of mine on his first ever track day. He bought his second Elise earlier this year with the idea of doing a few of these days. He tells me that the engine has been uprated, ceramic brakes fitted and the suspension lowered.
These signs can mess the mood up a bit:
His car was cleaner than mine:
Lined up 1st after passing the noise test:
Admiring the car:
Looking a little pale before going out on the first run though:
Halfway through the morning it started to rain, our man wasn't worried though:
A spin off track deposited some mud in the wheels and caused a frightening amount of vibration until cleaned out, it also made the car look a bit grubby !
Still confidence was restored when the sun came out again, so here's the car whizzing through the chicane:
