I'm guessing from the bagdes VW make the original car...

As for who did the conversion....not a clue mate

Looks wicked. It also looks like one of those cars you hire in Morocco, Cyprus, or some other sunnyholiday spot near the Med.

With the VW badges, perhaps its one of the early VW Veyron prototypes, seems to have a lot of holes for cooling.

Either someone has some really good imaging software or there really is a market for this car. Personally I find the latter really unlikely. Remaking the Beetle was sad enough let alone trying to remake the beach buggy (assuming that it was they tried) based on the new beetle (or Golf or Leon etc)?

From what I can tell from the pictures, it looks like it's based on an old Beetle Vw chassis.
You can tell by the front sunspension showing through and the rear overhang, to long to be based on the New beetle Fwd car,

My guess is that it should be a Brazilian designed buggy, but I could be wrong.
They still manufacture dune buggies there, and have small dune buggy manufacturers.
