Not seen them for a while, but did yesterday, on a bridge about 2 miles East of the Swindon West junction, reasonably visible if you're looking for it. Like shooting fish in a barrel catching taffic going East (I think). Looked like a motorway service type van, but had those dark side windows we all love to hate.

I guess Wilts Scamera Pratnership still needs to fill the coffers from their last cockup on the A303.

They had a trap set up heading West from the Swindon West junction on Monday morning about 7.30am. Both a marked and an unmarked Lexus in silver sat on the slip road, while half a mile up the road was a lone plod in hi-vis stood just off the hard shoulder pointing a gun at cars. Don't know why they were there, because if they'd gone a bit further along they would have been in the 50 limit roadworks which is ignored by almost everyone.

I see the Wilts scamera van there every week.

On tuesday morning I saw them there, then 10 minutes later passed another on the dual carriageway from Swindon East jnct, sat on a bridge before the Honda factory. Two in 10 minutes..bstads!

BTW, there was a 3 vehicle accident in prime scamera territory this afternoon about 4pm. M4 eastbound between Chippenham and Swindon West. Serious one too as the air ambulance was called to the scene. Major tailbacks. I wonder if the scamvan caused it?

Incidently, I also saw the Wilts scam motorbike this morning. He was stood behind his bike scamming drivers on the Thamesdown Drive 40mph dual carriageway, Priory Vale area of Swindon. Must have made a killing too, that speed limit is ridiculous. Fortunately some drivers were flashing a warning, fair play to them.
