Hi all,

First post as im considering buying a 3200 in the summer. Im curious as to the amount its going to cost me to insure one. I currently own an Audi TT roadster and am paying £1500 a year on that as im only 20 and have no no claim bonus. I turn 21 in March so that should help, but just wanted to know what I may have to stump up to own a Maser.

I'd appreciate it if you could let me know how old you are, the number of no claims you have, the insurers you are using and how much you are paying.

Thanks very much for you help in advance.

Hey Mike,

I used Churchill after moving from Tesco.
Age 34, 9 years no claims, 6 points (2 x sp30's) and had the car alarmed with additional Alarm on top of factory alarm and had a Tracker Installed.

I paid around £880 fully comp.
Your location will also be a factor.

Hope this helps mate

Hi mikejb,

early 40's, FNCB, 1 SP30, Full comp, 5K pa, through heritage 500 quid.
I found, surprisingly tesco were good if you plan on lots of miles, all other details remain the same, 40K pa, including bizz use 1200 quid.

Just make sure you buy a good one, parts are expensive, but the experience is worth every penny!.

enjoy and good tidings,
3200gt

Try Heritage, they advertise in auto Italia, they will insure as a modern classic. You can limit the mileage to as low as 1K and do not you to have any no claims bonus as it used on such a limited mileage it becomes irrelavant.
To give you an idication i pay 500 quid for limited to 3k mile per year. 800 quid excess I have 1 x sp30 and early 40's. Live in NW kent which is quite a high rate area. I have standard factory fit alarm and 24/7 tracker, garaged.

Mike / Pressi...

Try Stuart Eadon at First Point on 01604 499799 - they specialise at higher end, gave me very competitively priced cover on my 4200 of £835... they may be able to help

Cheers

try also Chris Knott and Adrian Flux ... they often quote high initially but can be haggled down. My original quote was £2250 but I played the two off against each other and got it down to £1200.

Where in Bulgaria you from? I'm over there a lot - back over on 31 dec.

I am from Sofia...husband and i go back all the time...now that i have my first son all my family are wanting to see him

Though the car may have to go soon...a nine week old can be a handful to get in and out of the car

Any suggestions anyone..if the 3200GT Assetto had to go...what would you all get next...slightly more practical but just as excotic...any suggestions?
