Hello all,

I've had a very unusual situation occur. I have just run-in my engine and finally had the opportunity to take the revs up to over 4,000. Unfortunately as I hit the 5,000rpm mark the revs would not breach the 5,000rpm level. It literally feels like the rev limiter is kicking in at 5,000. I've talked to Simon and he is looking into the issue but I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before?

Thanks!

When you say it will not breach 5K revs do you mean it quickly gets to 5K, then kind of bounces back down ?

Or does it just linger at 5K and just not go any further ?

Also is the engine under load when you try this ?

Check to make sure that your throttle cable is opening the throttle plate all the way. Since this is the first time you have pushed the throttle that far, it may not have been set up properly. Just a thought. It is usually something simple.

The engine doesn't go above 5,000rpm.

I've tried it at full boost and gradually working my way up to 5,0000.

Did you check for full throttle movement at the throttle plate with someone in the car pushing the throttle to the floor?
