While looking at a few Sagaris this week I noticed that one of the new ones had a nice billet handle on the rear glass hatch that matches the spoiler brackets.

Has anyone else seen this?

If I get the car I want (a secondhand one) I'm going to look at getting this retro fitted.

Looks like the one that Nivea (for men) were using as a promo at Brent Cross Shopping Centre a couple of months back.

The tailgate "shark's fin" - I got one, but no alloy stalks on my Sag (got those now though thanks to the factory).

If you are after a retro-fit of the tailgate lifter, my dealer mentioned in passing that they will set you back over £100 just for the part. It is rather nice though. £82.40 for the alloy stalk covers. Are the new cars still coming with unshrouded Ford plastic stalks?

Gary.

Cheers Gary, £100 is not too bad (I think!?!).

Just checked and the car I like does have billet stems.

Over £100! It's only a bit of machined alloy. I asked to have one retro fitted while my car was at the factory and they did it for free. It's well worth having, makes opening and closing the boot much easier.

I have one also, which was fitted at the factory free whilst they made me a new bonnet.

What's all this "thanks to the factory" and "fitted free whilst it was at the factory"????

Presumably your cars were there for factory warranty work (i.e. not minor niggles that could be sorted by the dealer), so a bit of ally probably costing £10 (and retailing for £100!!!) is the least you should expect! Good that you're happy though.
