Hi

Gave the Chimaera a good clean and a bit of a once over today.
Noticed there is some play in the N.S.F steering tie rod. Can any
one say if the is a TVR part only or is it a Land Rover part. My car
has Power Steering by the way, if that makes a differance.

Also, I have a "suspension knock" on the under side of the vehicle
roughly in the area of the rear roll bar. Sounds a bit like a knocking
shocker but more central. I have looked at all roll bar bushes/suspension
bushes and they are all o.k....just wondered if there was any ususal
failings or anyone has had the same kind of noises.

if it's on the std dampers it could possibly be the valving in the dampers themselves .. have a look to see if there's anything obvious loose, but if it's just that valving then it doesn't actually compromise the working of the damper just sounds a bit annoying.

I have similar sound on mine... that seems to wear off after I've been driving a bit... or carry a passenger... I couldn't see any play on bushes either, previous thread thought it might be damper valve.
