Well, after much thought, hassling of dealers and general racking of my brain I placed a deposit on a s/h car today.

Now, I know it's not everyone's taste but it was the first car I saw in the flesh about 8 weeks ago and have loved the colour ever since.

So I went to the delear today and put my deposit down on a 1 owner, 1100 miles Jaguar F1 Green Sagaris

Hopefully I will pick it up by Friday which is excellent as I'm off for 3 weeks

Congratulations Michael, that is one stunning looking car, and you have three weeks off to enjoy it too, and just wait 'till all your friends and family come round to visit!

I think the colour is stunning. The car in the Racing Green video is that colour.

Thanks guys, just the usual "I can't wait to pick it up!" routine now.

SJC -Yep, it's the TVR Centre.

As for the colour, there are various rumours of how many are out there in F1 Green and why you can't get the colour anymore but not sure how true they are. But hey, who cares, I like it

Looks the business in Jag F1 green. Hope Santa takes care getting it down the chimney.

I'd a friend round at the weekend whose been working in the states for 13 years. When I lifted the garage door and showed him the Sag he couldn't quite believe it or take it all in. Lot's of "sh1t, look that bit", "f* sake look at the exhausts!" "wow, the interior is cool" etc.

He was very impressed and I felt very lucky and privileged to own such a monster. "Is it legal?, surely you aren't allowed that!!" he says, and I thought to myself - yes, you probably shouldn't be allowed one, but aren't we lucky that we are. For now.

Good luck with it.

Gary.

The dealer is picking me up at 8.30 in the morning on his way to work

So fingers crossed I should be on the road by 10.00am!

Pics and update to follow shortly after a few hours driving.
