Mind you, I had a newsletter a couple of years ago in which Ebay also banned the practice of people selling £1 items with £15 postage. It still goes on aplenty.

Or the 3% they charge you if you want to pay by paypal - again, against Ebay T&Cs.

Simply gamesmanship to keep listing fees down.

I don't understand why not (I just shove my 3.4% + 20p in the postage)

Western Union was actually useful when I sold a tripod to a bloke in Eastern Europe; his country didn't have PayPal.

On ethign eBay SHOULD clamp down on is hijacked accounts. Just search for any desirable high value item liek 'Mac G5 laptop' and there they all are - a great feedback record, but item on 1 day listing, webmail address in the text which says 'will sell for 800 USD' (despite the seller being in Basingstoke) and an armful of plasma screens listed in 'Buyer's Other Items'....

I looked at a Hammond B3 organ in London and the guy wanted $2000 US which is about 1/5 the price, I said I would come and pick it up with a van.......went quiet. There was some "Will end early and send me the money first" crap.

You can still sell V5 documents though, I'm still looking for the right tuscan to nick to match! If someone cloned my mini, I would be deeply disgruntled.
