Fastest kart you have been in?

I raced with Club100 the last two seasons and they will do (100cc TKM) 5-60mph in under four seconds (need to be pushed started) and 80mph top end?
Also 400cc or 250cc? (cant remember) lease hire thunderkart, lots more grunt out of corners but both will lap Buckmore Park in the high 49's

got to be someone out there whose tried geared karts round a real race track? that has go to be ausome

I have some kart equipment for sale if anyone is interested. 1 chassis and 3 engines for Formula TKM. Some of the other stuff is sold and this is whats left. Raced for the last two years in the british championship before moving to car racing. Let me know if anyone is interested. All equipment is fully tuned and proper racing spec
Rotax Max. Quicker than TKM with the BT82 and higher top end. Serious, serious speed hit that you can pick up for under a grand IIRC.
I've been testing at circuits alongside gearbox karts and found it very easy to stay with (overtake) them, the reason being you need bloody long straights for that top end to pay off.

Fitted a Fireblade engine in a 'cut n shut' 250cc go kart chassis back in 1994, reving the engine used to rock you and the kart by at least 4-5 inches, on the move was nothing more than a blur, have never been in anything since that scared me as much, it must have pulled 100mph in 4-5 seconds with 3 more gears to go! bottled it before 4th, used it twice and decided it wsa best dismantled.
I had my first shot of one of these 4 days ago. Wow - most amusing! Probably accentuated by the fact that I was on wets on a wet but drying track - apparently on the track I was at the max speed was 100, but with a long enough straight 130MPH should be possible!

I think I read about this, was it featured in Max Power or Redline magazine? looked completly
had a few laps in a friends 250 national which was an eye opener! six speed sequential box was awwsome as was flooring it in any gear, you dont drive these things, you hold on and hope for the best. they lap brands indy in about 45 seconds and donington national pole time this year was 1m 11s, 2 seconds off the radical sr3!!! grade A nutters the lot of 'em! i have a 100cc two stroke which i want to swop or sell to fund a pro kart and start doing some endurance races, it will be a shame to sell the two stroke as its great fun and the power delivery is really stunning. pro karts are just so reliable though even if they are slower in comparison and dont rev to 14000!
email if you want further details of the two stroke 100cc kart i am selling, honestly i doubt you would find better for the money, i'd like £450-500 but would accept £400 for a quick sale to a "pistonheader"! otherwise try www.karting.co.uk/mp or www.findit.co.uk
