A friend of mine wants rid of his Toyota Celica ST162.

2.0 GT
1987 C plate.
Intergalactic milage (160K).
Full stainless steel exhaust.
Oily bits are all ok.
Failed MOT on bodywork, and wanted more welding than was worth doing.

Possible project car (donor car??), or a source of cheap spares.

I suspect he wants shot of the whole thing, so if you only want the power steering pump you have to take the lot....

IIRC It was August 86 the C plate was introduced August '87 D, '88 E, '89F, '90G etc.

Nope - shift all your dates 1 year back. Aug 86 = D, Aug 87 = E, etc.

It's C plate. Not sure of the year....

Oh, and the air con needs a charge, but I suspect that's the least of your concerns.
