Sold my 987S and looking for a 997 or 997S. Seen a 997C2 at a main dealer-minimal miles, up at £56 but £53k would definitely buy it.

My questions are: Why so few 997's for sale privately?
Why are those that are for sale advertised at dealer prices?
Finally if a 2nd hand 997 is low £50's who is paying mid-high forties for soon 4 year old 996C4s's?

Am i likely to get into a manual low miles 997 for sub £50k in the next 6 months?

Hi
I find the pricing very difficult to understand and seems to me that the punter usually ends up dipping deep into the wallet! There are a few cars for sale privately but I would think the majority are sold through dealerships as the market is relatively small and for newer cars most want the security of warranties and pre- and post-sales service etc. Unfortunately there is a premium to be paid for this. £53-£56K for a 997 C2 with lowish miles sounds reasonable - depends what extras are on board etc.
