Convince me ...
Discussion
I’ve been lurking around both the Cerbera forum and the Cerbera classifieds for a few weeks ... trying to convince myself I should buy one sometime in the New Year.
If I put myself in the market it’s gonna mean getting shot of the Mustang and I ‘m not sure I want to do that ... I had an idea how I could keep the Mustang and return to TVR ownership at the same time (see here), but that’s just impractical really no matter how hard I try to convince myself ...
Coming back from London yesterday up the A1 I couldn’t help but turn off to go via Offords and see the couple of examples they have there - they are so low and mean looking it is jaw dropping - I don’t get to see that many (I know of only one in Peterborough) and so every time I’m reacquainted with the shape, I drool.
Sure, I get worried by people banging on about the 3k maintenance per annum, who wouldn’t. Not convinced 3000 miles per annum would cost that though but looking through people’s profiles and seeing what they spend does turn me white.
Convince me why I should have one ... noise, aura, sheer grunt, what?
If I’m going to sell the ‘Stang it’s gotta be worth it ...

If you fancy the 30 mile drive to Kettering, you are more than welcome to come for a spin. I'll let you have a go if you've got the appropriate insurance. You bend it, you mend it! Trouble is that its so greasy at the moment that its difficult to give it the full beans.
I would imagine crack is less addictive than a Cerbera. A guy just down the road is selling his. You could combine the two if you wanted.

Scott, thanks – that's a great offer and one I may well take up. Wouldn't want to drive it though – can't drive another man's personal p&j – I'd let you show me the way! Test drives are for when you're buying or at the dealers. The Mus could do with a drive out anyhow - maybe sometime soon. Let me know when you're free.
Mikey fully ubnderstand where you are coming from, I've been wavering and drooling over cerbs myself for over a year now
.
I will do it
, perhaps in the next couple of months, problem I have is every time I drive the V8S it still makes me smile and on most A/B roads it is still as quick as most Tivs. I would love to have both, but the family finacial director won't let me
. Only just talking after that rebuilt 4.5RR one was snapped up for £12.5K
after I was out voted by the board
Also still pondering the 4.5/4.2 issue, really struggle to justify the £2-3K premium in my head, but being the chap I am I would want the ability to upgrade at some point
