Anybody know the dimensions of the:
AJP V8
Tuscan SP6

Also can someone tell me what sort of price I should be paying for a second hand version of each of these engines?

There was a complete AJP8 with gearbox 4588471942

I had the spare ECU from him,

Reserve wasn't meet on it, but I have a feeling he did sell it,

May be worth dropping him a Email and asking if he still has it,

TVR's Ive been told have a couple of low milage engine's around 3K each.

A Speed six engine ended yesterday (ebay) was around the 2K mark not sure if the reserve was meet.4597740391

May be worth doing a advanced search to see what's go on there.

Try and buy a complete engine It's a pain trying to source part's?.

After some miserable git in a pub laughed their tits off at me and said it would be impossible for me to have a car designed (very much after the extensive problems my fiance has had with her Tuscan). I decided to see if it could be done; after 3 months I have got the designs for a road, race and spyder version of the design taking styling keys from a defunct Italian design but updated somewhat. Now I have got to the stage where I have got chassis designers, mould makers and I am now trying to decide what engine and transmission to use as the car is going to be mid-engined.

sounds excellent stuff your doing there, do you have a budget in mind for the engine? i would steer clear of the speed 6 engine due to the reliabity issues but the ajp should be ok, ls1? or i have a freind that works for power tec making the 2.6 litre v8's for the westfield but they are expensive! good luck anyway

I am looking for an engine to produce 500-600bhp - more than likely be a Ford Modular engine or AJPV* stroked and supercharged - a supercharged Ferrari 360 engine would be nice, but rediculously expensive......

If you fancy the AJP8, have a word with TVRCraft (Autocraft), as I believe they offered supercharging on the AJP. www.tvrcraft.com

I have already spoken with Dave at TVRCraft - that is where my fiance has her Tuscan serviced! Did want to put an 800bhp Ford engine in but no transaxles available....

Sounds like an excellent project. Keep us updated with it. Christ knows how you will stop the wheels from spinning in every gear with such a light car and powerful engine but I suppose its nice to have that dilemma!

Well I am either thinking about using a AJPV8 but because of the availability of parts I am still on the fence. The alternative is to use a Ferrari 360 engine with a supercharger on it, the engine is expensive but relatively easy to get hold of, sounds rather nice and already has a transaxle.
