2006? Do I go? Will you miss my videos?

The lads that I went with last year have decided to do the classic in 06. That possibly clashes with the scumball event that I have signed up to so its "normal" Le Mans + Scumball or no LM at all.

Plus I havent renewed my TVRCC membership and without getting the sprint booking form have forgotten to get hold of any camping tickets yet so am not set up with anything yet, havent even thought about a ferry.

So, it looks like I will pass on 06. I just know the third weekend in June I will be sat at home with my head in my hands...

I know I will. Thats the thing! But is it habit? I am thinking of doing a weekend at Spa or something (or even the LM classic if it doesnt clash with the scumball) as an alternative.

You don't neccessarily need to be passenger. We may need another ferry space though. Will have a chat tonight....

Do all of them - that's what we do!!! Have tent will travel! None of them beat and equal LM though.

Don't worry about that. last two Le Mans I made the final go/no go descsion a week before the event and still had a great time. Adds to the excitment. Just go!

yeah, I must say, the decision in 2003 was made on the Sunday before LM and it was one of the best to date. Mind you, its easier to make a last minute decision when you are based in Barcelona! The worst last minute hitch is the ferry usually....

By the way, how did you manage to sell the Porker 6 months before you put it up for sale! thats high demand!

Ferry? Your car’s not amphibious?

I will probably be starting off from the UK this year so will need to find a ferry. I’m banking on a drop out posting up a package for sale here or on one of the other forums.

Porker went on sale Dec 04 and was sold May 05 so not sure I follow you there old chap?

I couldn't go in 2003 as I had exams - my then OH was at Snet at the 2CV 24 hours and I stayed at home revising, surfing Le Mans stuff on the web and was miserable as f*** !

Ferries might be harder to come by next year with the footie next year which might make last minute decisions different?
