Hi, tis me again )

I need some new mirrors as the mirrors have broken but I want to get original ones (which they are). Does anyone have any spare or can I get some from Jago? Are they still going?

as they are kits i'm not sure there were ever "standard" mirrors landrover ldv van or generic commercial mirrors have been fitted [and i'm sure others have too] keep your eyes out for landrovers and ldv vans or visit a commercial dealers see if they can supply them to the pattern of your old ones

A bit late to this thread perhaps but when building my Geep I was recommended door mirrors from the Bedford CF van. They worked well for me (only fitted offside at the time and now wish I had done both).

I have noticed that the same mirror body appears in agricultural suppliers for tractors and the like, but the arms are too long - perhaps if someone can source shorter mirror arms...?

never too late to post Pete! (how's things by the way...hope you're well)
Agricultral merchants is a good place to look, and usually they're not rip-off prices either. I bought a pair of mirrors plus arms for my first Jeep....got a feeling if the old grey matter serves me well that they were short arm as well. Depending on the desin of the mirror arm....if it's too long, try and prise the end cap off and cut to length. I guess the tip is find a good agricultral store and ask away.
They are also a good and cheap way of picking up the rubber straps to keep the bonnet secure....ok prob not SVA 'approved' (but what on a Jeep is?) but a darn sight cheaper than buying them from 'specialist suppliers.'

Top idea on the arms Gerry, I'll drop into the supplier next time I go past.

Anyone who hasn't visited an agricutlural suppliers - find one! Sell not only general spares for vehicles (the aforementioned mirrors, plus ceramic fuses, towing kit, lights, etc.) they also sell masses of hard-wearing budget working clothes and footwear - really worth a visit, and no I don't have shares!
