just exactly how widespread is the activity known as 'going on a beano'?

one of the girls in my office has just told me about going down to herne bay in the summertime on a 'beano' which apparently involves random groups of ladies hiring buses, embarking at 7am with a crate of lager each to down on the journey and then meeting buses of chaps at a club called the Galley to go daytime clubbing....and f**k random people! public dogging almost! apparently these girls drink 40 odd pints of lager and don't call it a day until they've been through 5 or so blokes! she's trying to get me to sign up to one in june!

according to this girl it goes on every week!
