Hants TVRCC "B.B.C" 27th Dec

Hi all, i`m just confirming the final details for this years post X-Mas run, code name B.B.C.... Boscombe Beach Cruise
We have found a new meeting point in Wickham..The Community Centre.. This is a far better central meeting point than the Square and more than capable of taking the predicted volume of cars,our last meet there caused a bit of a...er.. stir. The post code for Sat Navvers and Multimap users is PO17 5AL
From Wickham we will have a "leisurely" run over to the coach car park of the National Motor Museum BEAULIE for a photo shoot, and then on to Boscombe Beach BH5 1BQ via the B3056/A337/A31 this time to avoid the frustrating ques of last year We will again be using the sea front EAST of the PIER we can drive our cars along the pedestrian area and park up close to the Brewster Restaurant on the sea front. This will mean that we don't have to pay car parking charges and that our cars will all be together so should allow for some excellent pictures again.
The anticipated (TVR)times are as follows...
WICKHAM 10.30 for a 10.45 getaway
BEAULIE 11.30 for a 12.15 getaway
BOSCOMBE 1.00/1.15 approx

Hi Tony, can we be the first on your list? we joined you last year with our Yellow T350c, and it was a utterly brill day out with lots of nice cars, made all the better with lots of nice people.

I remember talking to Tony about this while we had the Tuscans at the growl earlier in the year. It sounds like fun but I'd have to be up before 8:00 on a rest day to get to Wickham in time.

As long as all badges are removed on the car and a CD of 'TVR engine noise' is played at high volume. Come to think of it....do you get a CD player in a Lotus?

nope, its retro fitted. Not fitted when new to keep the weight down. I promise to stick TVR badges on the front and back, grow a beard and break down at least once on the run. Can I come?

that'll be a negative mate. The TVR has a problem with the alternator charging (looks like its just a feed wire) and still without semi-decent suspension so will probably be off the road until a couple of weeks into the new year. Still, at least it should be all sorted for summer and with the cosworth it's not slow.

That's the great thing about these types of cars there is always something interesting to do and now you've got to fix it before your promised breakdown/s.

The best thing about TVRs and Lotus is that they are so simple (Speed 6 caveats apply) that 90% of things can be fixed at the side of the road because its only the crap simplicity of the design that has failed in the first place! when something goes wrong with my toyota, its usually impossible to get too or overly complicated! The good news is that it rarely breaks!
