Where to get track bike?
Discussion
Having had my immaculate RR3 Fireblade stolen by scum 5 months ago I am only now just starting to think about the next bike (therapy must be working then) I've been a bit traumatised by the whole bike theft experience so didn't think I would get another bike again for a while. But I miss the power and fun of motorbikes so would like to get back into it in time for next season. I think I've had enough of road riding for a while - too many clowns in cars, too many cameras and limited opportunity to use the capabilities of a litre bike in the Sth East. So I'm thinking track bike but don't really have any knowledge of how or where to get a track bike that isn't a stolen write off on ebay. Could anyone help a couple of questions?
1. Names of suppliers of track bikes around London area (tuning firms or dealers)? I'd prefer a 954RR or possibly R1
2. Can you get Fire and Theft insurance on a track bike?
3. Any other tips ?
Appreciate any advice you guys can offer!
Cheers

A good place to look would be Bikesport News (it comes out fortnightly, looks like a poor relation of MCN and only available in larger W H Smiths).
Better still would be the forums where the club racers chat such as www.motoforum.net etc

Also try www.visordown.com they have a for sale section and will give any advice needed. Although, you need to introduce yourself and "buy" a round of drinks......dunno why, but I did it and they seem friendly enough.
