Geting a short loan of my siters Boxter 2.7....Just wondered how they handled.....a bit of oversteer would be nice for a change. I've been driving quattro's for years, which don't slide about much, unless your Hanu Mikolla.

Don't try sliding a Boxster on the road.

Seriously.

These cars grip like shit to a blanket...and when they go...boy do they go.

Try it on the road and you won't get to hand the thing back.

Good car, but feels underpowered with to much grip for sliding fun

Just had a 3000-mile old Boxter for 2 weeks while my TVR was being fixed. It certainly rode very well, and had huge levels of grip, that the 2.7 motor simply didnt have the grunt to break.

It made a lovely noise, but wasnt very fast. Usefully quick, I'd say. (However, when you're used to 5 litres of TVR, not much feels quick...risky thing to say on a Porker forum, I know...)

Most disappointing was the brake feel - very spongy. But certainly, they stopped you just fine.

Overall impression was of a nicely-screwed together, classy act, but not enough va va voom for the real driver.

I'd love to have had an "S".

take it to a car park first, right lock it, turn off the PSM and drop the clutch at 4500 rpm. You will see that it grips to a certain point then goes out and becomes very heavy.

I used to slide mine on the road occasionally, but that was only after owning her for a couple of years and having a good feel for how she broke away. Do it on purpose and it will bite
