Immobiliser not deactivating
Discussion
Had problems today with the immobiliser on my 111R, bloody thing wont deactivate. Good old boys at alcholicsannonymous got me home on a flat bed. Anybody had the same probs ?
Tried re-setting the alarm but nothing works. Car stood for four days prior to this problem. Andy at Wilson's said it will need a total reset . Another flatbed tomorrow then.

You can deactiveate the imobiliser without the fob. There should have been an alarm code in the manual booklet. I can't remember exactly how to do it, but you put the key in the ignition and turn it as per the sequence in the manual, then turn it again according to the numbers in the code.
I had to do it a while ago when I got a new key and had to match it to the car.

Normally, while receiving the 111R, you get a small paper from Cobra with a 4 digit code and the way to activate it. I think the procedure is in the Owner's book also. I am at work and can't give more help but that is the only way to deactivate the alarm if the remote control is lost, defect or without battery. IIRC, my dealer wrote the code on his "delivery notice" in case I lost mine. Best I can do 4u
To reset the alarm, remove the front fuse panel cover, under the left hand panel, just in front of the windscreen on the left hand side (looking towards the pointy end) The allen key for the job is in the tool kit in the boot.
Open the fuse panel and (off the top of my head) it is fuse 10. Generally I would pull out the fuses at the end, both of them. Take them out for at least 30 secs and the alarm will reset.
No codes, no un secret pins, just a hard reset.
I had the same problem. This worked a treat!

When you have reset the alarm, go into the engine compartment, behind the engine in the middle there are a couple of "blocks". These contain fuses. Give these a shake/tap.
In the end my problem turned out to be a bent pin in a ecu connector. but reseting the alarm and "jiggling" these engine bay fuse boxes did the job - sometimes. When you have time check all the cable connectors or better still get the garage to do it.
