In order to cleanse my PC, I am going to reset it all tonight back to factory settings.

I am concerned about not being able to get back online though with my current BT broadband.

Are there any phone numbers / settings etc that I need to be aware of before I erase all memory and set it all up again?

Or do I just need to install the original internet and broadband software as before?

HELP - While I'm still here, please!

No phone number other than at least a single digit.

You just need your user name and the modem driver

Windows has everything else to actually make the connection.

I assume I'll be prompted to make a new user name?

you create a new dial up networking connection, this has a username and password field that your ISP will have given you the details for.

This is DSL over telephone line, not cable I take it?

No I'l be the one that's allready typed into the dial-up-connection box when you connect, e.g. lazyitus@btinternet.com or somesuch.

*Too slow again!
