Cat found after six years

A cat has been reunited with it's owner after six years.

Colin the tomcat vanished from Emma Phillips' home in Barkingside, Essex, in 1999.

Colin lived as a stray until a woman handed him to pet rescue charity the PDSA.

A microchip was found in his neck and Emma was called reports The Sun.

She recognised him straight away, she said: "He had a rip in his ear and black dots on his face."

Seeing as it was The Sun, I'm surprised they didn't give her vital statistics.

You missed the rest of the article. "unfortunately in that time the cat had become completely feral. Emma is now recovering in hospital from multiple lacerations.

When I was a little younger and still living with my Ma our cat just dissappeared and it stayed just so for about 4 years. Then one day out of the blue he just came strolling up the garden path a little thinner and demanded some breakfast. The Sun didn't report that one

Hmm, cat lost in Barkingside! I'm sure there are plenty of gags in there somewhere!

How great would that be! Lose a pet, and it comes back all those years later. What a feeling you would have. ... More happy stories please!

I'm willing to put money Toga ends up on someone's table on Sunday afternoon with some cranberry sauce.

OK.

When I was 10, I can remember getting really frustrated as I sat with the rest of my school watching a pantomine.

I could not believe how thick the actor was. He asked the crowd about 20 times where the bad guy was, and we kept shouting "Behind You".

After 21 attempts at telling this guy where to look, I became more and more agitated as he quite obviously wasn't listening or was just non-compliant with the English language. I just got more and more het up and red faced as my screeching became more and more high pitched.

In the end, popcorn in hand, I had to run down the aisle and onto the stage infront of 300 people and pointed (like a demented scream painting) at the 'villain'.

Jeez, some people just don't listen.

Anyway, I had a tub of ice-cream at the interval. This not only tasted nice but cooled me down in time to watch the rest of the show.

Is that a happy ending or what?

Wasn't it Blackadder who said "they're so poor they are forced to have children simply to provide a cheap alternative to turkey at Christmas." Well they've found a even cheaper alternative. Mums gone to Zooland.
