I was thinking of trying this in my bike (KTM 950SM) as I used to get great results in my old car (993TT). Has anyone tried this in their bike and if so, did you notice any difference?

As I understand, there is little benefit in using higher octane petrol in an engine which isn't designed for it.
I use Optimax in my car but that is because it was designed for the higher octanes available in Japan - 100RON.

If the engine is mapped for 98 octane then you'll see more power, however if the mapping is for 95 octane, you'll see no difference apart from the cost.

More to the point, if the engine is mapped for 98 and you DON'T put at least 98 in, you're asking for trouble with detonation damage. Assuming it has no knock sensing.

Ewan I run my Husaberg 650 on Optimax and if I don't it runs like a bag of spuds. Big singles tend to be fussy about what they drink.
