Don't care if it is true or not it is a damn good laugh

I've always like the brass monkeys one. It seemed so plausible when I heard it. Snopes shot it down though:

My favourite, and becasue my dad told it to me when camping in the middle of nowhere, (he had a habit of trying his best to frighten us in those circumstances), was the 'bloke gone to get help... banging on the car roof.. Don't look back.. psychopath with head on stick banging on roof of the car'.
It has got to go to the one where person wakes up in bath of ice with phone next to them to call 911, then being told by 911 operator that this is a common thing and that their kidneys had been harvested. Loved that one.

I always remember that one! Scared the shit out of me as a kid!my favourite one was the guy the was linishing his penis.
it goes something like that he was admitted into hospital with a scrotum the size of a melon. the emergency staff then started sorting him out, in the likes of sewing up various tubes, trying to figure out where the missing testical was, i think the testical that was remaining was removed, then they removed the staples from the skin and eventually sewing up the huge gash in his scrotum.
essentially, he had a testicle missing after a huge accident of some sort. he wouldn't tell them, and they referred him to a therapy to come to terms with what had happened.
it turns out that at lunchtime at the factory he worked at, there were some machines with big leather drive belts. he drop his pants and put mr todger on the moving belt.
except one day he caught mr todger in the machine, which promptly dragged him in at high speed and threw him out the other side about 40 feet away. It ripped his scrotum open, tore off a testical, and he passed out. He came around, saw the mess he made of himself and got the industrial staple gun and stapled the torn skin together on his scrotum.
so...be careful out there people!

Or... that beggars always keep a skinny dog on a bit of string cos the DSS gives them extra money for their dog!
FFS!
I heard they do actually get a dogfood allowance as the dogs keep them warm when they sleep on the streets but I don't know if it's truth or fiction.
My favourite is the barrister who stood up to cross-eximine a witness, broke wind loudly, said "No more questions" and sat down. In the same allegedly long and boring fraud trial comes the legend that bored barristers stood up and asked perfectly respectable witnesses spoof questions to break the tedium like "if they knew a Mrs White from Basingstoke". The witness would say no and the barrister would smile in that "Aha" way and sit back down but truth or apocryphal, I know not.
Not sure if legend or true, but in the US, a guy purchased 12 very expensive cigars and insured them against fire. He then smoked them and claimed on his insurance.
The insurance company had to pay up, but then had the chap done on 12 counts of arson.
I'd like to believe that in the nutty states, this may be fact!
