1993 Chim 450 on ebay, is it possible?

Anyone know this car - not buying but just curious about it as keeping an eye on prices as mine is going up for sale in the New Year, but got me a bit stumped as thought the 4.5 did not come about till much later like 97/98 or something.

It's certainly not 93 vintage.

It has door opening buttons on the mirrors. It has colour coded bumper inserts. These are post 97/98 features. As you say, the 4.5 wasn't available until about then as well.

Something fishy there.

Definately a fraud, the text has been copied as it lists the best one to go for is a late 450 (not one of the earliest cars as described)

Definately the post 97 shell as it has the colour coded rear bumper strip.

I have just emailed him to ask for details to HPI.

Agree on all those points - but the boot lip is definately the old shape - less pronounced overhang than the facelift.

Very strange - methinks a wee bit of fiddling has been done (a la prang). Also the description content is wierd. Hardly going for the hard sell.

Hmmn, thought as much, was going to email asking how it could be a 4.5 from that year but wanted to make sure I was not talking tosh first. Also just reread the text and it states in one bit that

"all the dials are yellow and interior is blue leather."

and then later

"..and fluorescent green instrument faces show the initial workings of an ideas mine that has been plundered in full for the Cerbera and Tuscan cabins"

Looks like black leather to me but I suppose it could be dark blue, but the dial comments are a straightforward contradiction. All seems a bit odd. Be interested to see if you get a response Bomber, let us know.
