you can mount it in centre console under radio! the gps will see thru the dashboard with it been fibre glass, mines there looks and works well
Likewise I didn't want a windscreen mount for my HP 4150, but ended up with a Holux mount from www.totalpda.com - brilliant sucker (oooer) and integrated GPS reciever and speaker - so just one cable went to the mount from the lighter and powered the reciever and charged the PDA whilst the speaker meant I could hear Tomtom shouting directions at me even over the sports exhaust, highly recommended.

Errrr..... would do except I now erm...... drive an M5 !
The mount is here www.holux.com.tw/Temp%20web/CR-100.html - they do different versions for different PDAs.

I initially thought about sticking it there however---its too large to attach to the back of the centre console (flat against the back)
Meant to post the other night. IIRC TT5 can switch the view to a widescreen view so the PDA could sit on its side in the centre console space.

Ahh, i heard that somewhere--glad you could clarify. I mainly want it for the speed camera updates and the very occasional sat nav.
Basically i dont want to sucker it onto the windscreen and have it `in my face` but i also dont want to noticably `damage` any of the cerbs interior by drilling/glueing mounts.

I've got mine on the screen, using the standard TT sucker mount, in the centre as low down as possible.
Having TT in landscape means the mount doesn't really obscure any more visibility than what (little) there is to start with.
Now, if only there was a cable & software to run the ecu software on the ipaq...
