Hi
Recently bought a 2001 996TT (30,000 miles) from official porsche dealer, am amazed and in awe of the car but have a few niggles that they need to sort out but wanted some advice before i send it in for repair.
1. The clutch has to be pressed to the floor to engage gear but bites over half way up. Is this a sign that it needs replacing or adjustment?
2. There is a constant squeak from the engine/rear suspension that emerges once the car is moving (had this on my 964 but never got round to investigating it - ideas?
3. When changing from 1st to 2nd (and probably in other gear changes but not as noticeable), the revs do not drop as fast as I would expect, the revs seem to take a while to drop to idle speed, especially if you allow the revs to build up slowly as opposed to flooring it ! - ideas?
4. When started from cold, the engine is a little noisey and irratic but soon settles, is this normal?
Maybe my non-mechanical nature is expecting too much but your thoughts would be appreciated. I dont want to get fobbed off by the garage.
Thx
