A few questions.......

Hi all,
Happy Christmas........

I have a few questions that I hope some of you can help me with as im a new owner!!

1) When I start her up I get "Diagnostic code O" It then goes after a second, from reading other threads this is a commom thing and regulary happens when the car gets started????

2) My change up lights dont seem to be working at all.......Not sure if I have to do anything or set them or if there is a loose connection??????

3) My LED screen is fine - No lines etc, the only problem is when I set it to show just the BIG speed it seems to be constantly stuck on 10-15 mph........All the other readings appear correct.........is this an off to the factory jobbie or a new sensor??

4) When I have the indicators or hazard lights on i get a contstant beeping aswell as a normal clicking noise...is this normal too????????

5) How much roughly are a set of new shocks to make the ride more comfy, Nitrons etc???

And finally........

6) Just to comfirm the oil temp the car should be left to warm up to????? Ive been leaving mine to get to 70 degrees.

1) Not sure, check the manual I think it gives a rundown of what the codes are. Sometimes the codes that flash up for a second are a bit of 'they all do that sir'. I would often get a low oil pressure message immediately. Obviously as I was starting the engine, the oil pressure would not be much until it had started!

2) The change up lights dont come it until about 6000(ish) rpm, but these can also be reset to different figures, which may have happened. It may also be you have not got the revs up that high yet, or also be linked to-

3) The BIG figure on the pod is actually the revs times 100. If it doesnt get about 15 though, that is very strange. Does your analogue speedo still work ok?

4) They all do that. It can get annoying, but you can reset the volume in the pod. To change all of these variables the manual tells you the combination of buttons to hold down. I think it is the left and right pod ones for a couple of seconds, but check.

5) I got a quote from Gorners which came to about £1300 including all the setup and alignment. They also mentioned that it may be slightly cheaper if I did a service at the same time, and then the alignment work which is part of the service will not have to be redone for the shocks.

6) 70 is the figure to fully go for it, although you can gradually increase revs at 50 and 60. If you do a search for it, there is a quote from the origianl engine developers who explain the exact figures at what temperature.

the big digits being the revs make alot of sense now, as i was on the motorway and it was stuck at 30........i was doing 3000 revs when i looked at the multiple display so all is ok!!!!

I definately havnt managed 6000 revs YET - roads are too slippery!!!

Do you have the pro techs????? How do they compare with the nitrons????
