Rear View Helmets

At last a system that lets you see behind when wearing a helmet - and it's British!

Ah, good. Now they can see what's coming up behind them they won't be able to blame it all on the motorist if they get hit and 'didn't see it coming'

Sounds great to me- if the cyclist tips his head back whilst speaking, he'll be able to see that he's talking out of his ar$e!
At least he'll be able to see the truck that squashes him before he becomes a pancake!

That is really rather clever. If they make a motorcycle version they could propbably fit it with a sort of head-up display quite easily as they've got a reasonably long optical path to play with btwn the rider's eyes and the back of the helmet. Your field of view would be the road ahead, then a thin row of speed/rpm/distance to speed camera type data then a rear view. You could pretend to be robcop.

Great idea, far better than a mirror on the handle bars. Now if they can come up with a similar idea for cars then we can get rid of the unsightly wing mirrors. If you have severe arthritis and are unable to turn your neck its a great idea, however pedalling must be really difficult
