Hi all,

Finally got round to booking tickets for Le Mans 2006 with Team Langoustine but have left it too late to get camping in Le Houx or Houx Annexe

Anyone got a spare/unwanted camp-site ticket they would like to sell? Please reply to schwarzpm@yahoo.co.uk or post here and I'll contact you.

Cheers in advance

Paul

I've got a potential spare camping spot on Houx Annexe booked through Team Langoustine. At the moment it's all paid for but I've got a few folks who can't make their minds up about committing. Usual story - new baby, girlfriend wanting a holiday etc etc.

Will chase the slackers up today and post again when I've got an idea......

yay, just managed to get a ticket in Houx Annexe. Had already booked through team langoustine but too late for decent camping tickets. Got a call from Andy saying he'd had a cancellation so now have camping at the Annexe and an ACO grandstand seat. Can't wait.

Thanks for the reply anyway Vette, i'm sure you won't have any problems getting rid of spare tickets

Hey everyone - Can I hijack this post if Schwarz has got himself sorted out??!!

If anyone knows of any Annexe tickets going begging then can they let me know via my profile??

Rest assured they will be going to a deserving, high-octane home!!

Why don't you give the prawns a buzz. If they had one spare, they may have more.

I see a theme running here with more people asking for tickets than offering them but I also left it WAY too late and am currently on the look out for 2 passes if someone finds a secret stash?!

Thanks

Nifty, I called Team Langoustine and they have Houx Annexe tickets, but they have to be bought with the grandstand seats as well, which costs £130, but includes circuit entry. I'm passing on that as it's too much money for my group but he said he also has camping tickets for Beausejour, a couple of other places have them as well but I'm gonna leave them as a last resort and try for a bit longer to get some HA's.

Hope that helps.

Thankyou very much for that. I think just to clear the worry I will probably take the tickets. That way all I have to worry about is the ferry ticket and new speeding tickets allowing the french police to put points on english licenses!!

Yeah it's not really that expensive, it's just I'd sold a load of Le Mans virgin mates on the promise that camping, entry and ferry would be circa £100, they'd jump ship if the price doubled rose another £80

I reckon all I've got to do is get them there the first time and then it should be plain sailing convincing them to part more freely with their cash next year!!

Over in the "i want to go to lemans but dont know where to start!!" thread Pikey suggests that Camping Bleu sell on-the-gate camping slots for £80.

Option for any of you?

Having spoken on the phone and heard the whole: £130per person plus £50 per car argument! With 2 cars and 4 people = £620 is giving me 2nd thoughts! Still think I'm going to run with the 'you only live once ..and this is Le-Mans!' theory. It's worked well the last couple of years.

Either way thanks for the help and I will see you all at the roundabout fri night look out for the black 944 on my profile

We get it for around that price from the TVR Car Club, but thats camping at Houx and more importantly includes grandstand tickets at £63 a head, so you should be able to do it for a good bit cheaper.

Have a look at the Porsche and Golf GTi clubs and see if you can book with them. I know one large Porsche group (not sure if UK) organise something, as I've seen a huge field with catering full them!

Thanks, those tickets did include grand stand seat so not too bad value (although camping was only in Houx Annex). The amount just seemed to add up Very quickly!

P.s to satisfy any curiosity field with catering is Porsche Club GB I'v never been with them but they are also nice and expensive, plus there have been complaints in the past about the cost/experience ratio.

I'm in the same boat regarding camping tickets

Once again I have left it too late to get Houx Annexe tickets. 2 years ago I picked 3 Houx Annexe tickets on ebay for only £25 each. Last year I expected to be able to do the same, but they were all going for £100+ I managed to get one Houx Annexe ticket from Team Langoustine but couldn't get any for my mates We ended up staying in Beausejour last year, right at the back... it was such a long walk anywhere we didn't bother going to see much.

I'm in the TVR Car Club and have requested tickets but I don't know if I will be able to get enough tickets for all of us (my mates aren't in the TVRCC).

If anyone has any Houx Annexe tickets going spare (or 4 Houx plots next to each other) please drop me a mail (after the other guys on here of course)!

I just hope the TVR is back on the road by then It died a few weeks after Le Mans last year (Heat in Le Mans killed it), and I still don't have it back.

I know Team Lang have some cancellations. Might be worth giving Andy a buzz.

No..... about EIGHTEEN POUNDS.

You pay a dodgy looking French bloke on the gate, and he gives you an official ticket. Only seems to work Thursday and Friday morning though.

I think that price is quite reasonable. You'd need to cram them into a decent sized car and have a proper sized tent, but that's not unrealistic.
