Some amazing deals for GPS Sat Nav going on at the moment, but anybody else noticed that today suddenly an awful lot of the retailers' websites are going down for "maintenance"??

Couldn't be that they don't want too many people ordering them / they are out of stock and don't want people buying en masse at the low prices and having to honour that when they come back in?

Currys, Dixons, The Link, PC World, and Halfords have been up and down like whore's drawers all morning.

Special mention to Halfords who mention 5 quid delivery (after a referring page saying it was free), then on the ordering page it becomes 10 quid! (all for am amazing 7 working day delivery )

I think the sites have been a little slow because of the heavy traffic.

Why worry though, they'll come down even further when the rush is over.

Currys, Dixons, The Link & PC World are all the same company. You may be seeing multiple actions where only one is happening.

Woolworths had ads in their windows for half price Garmin I's yesterday - I didn't go in as

a) I don't need one
b) I don't ever go in to Woolworths!!
