Scanner Advise Please !

Im looking for a decent Scanner to Scan in Newspapers, Letters, and Photo's.

Im totally lost on the number of options on the net.

Im currently using a Canon LIDE 30 which is ok but the quality of the Scanning is now looking dated.

Can you guys advise me on the best options for a budget of £250 to £500 ?

what size docs do you need/want to scan? Upto A3?

Im looking to scan photo's from 6 x 4 upwards and A3, A4 Documents.

From my experience the Epson GT-15000 is the definitive item but it's over the budget you stated. The Mustek P3600 Pro Scanner has good reports and the double light source is claimed to add quality to the output that can be lacking in some A3 scanners. It seems to be available best priced at Pixmania. People tend to blow hot or cold about Pixmania. I've bought quite a few items - several cameras included - from them and have always been impressed on their pricing and prompt delivery. So I guess they are my preferred source for electronics until we have a hiccup.
