Assuming yours has snapped.....I might be teaching Granny to suck eggs here...but don't forget to tie a length of string to the end of your old one before removing it....it makes threading the new one much easier!
I found that removing the throttle pedal assembly made refitting the cable easier, the tricky bit was fitting the 'engine' end to the linkage as it is under the mesh.
