Somebody bought my gran a DVD player for Christmas, which has a male scart lead hard-wired to it. Problem is, her telly is a bit old and doesn't have a scart socket on it.

The best way I can see to get around it is to plug the male scart lead into the female end of one of these, which is in/out switchable, and then to run these into the phono sockets on her telly. That should work, shouldn't it?

Cheers

Yes it will work but you have to tell Gran it's not a toaster!

Yes that will work as long as this

has a switch on to select INPUT or OUTPUT, depending on which config (end) you wish the source to come from.

edited to add: Doh! It has, I just didn't see it before

Excellent Yeh, I'll have to hide it behind the telly so she doesn't get too confused
