The 245/40 tyre is a fair bit larger than the OE tyre from a rolling radius point of view. This affects the gearing and speedo reading although it is . We recommend switching to the 255/35 - it is a better conversion but you may find that the tyre can touch the arch in extreme conditions. Also, when you change the tyre size, you need to reset the rear suspension geometry.

I'd like to know what the geometry settings for front and rear wheels are if anyone knows.
Magicians don't tell you how they do their tricks do they...
The tyre wear you have on the back sounds like a geometry problem but we'd need to see the tyres to say for sure. It sounds more like camber though - the factory setting changed mid-2005 to reduce camber and also reduce toe-in on the rear. With the old camber setting you tend to wear the inner shoulder. Regarding the settings, the official factory settings (as mid-2005 change) for Tamora are -0.75deg camber all round, 3mm toe-in rear, parallel front, 26psi in all tyres. Getting someone who can set the car up accurately (and who has the patience to get it absolutely right) is crucial. These settings are very good, but we have some other tricks that really make a difference... Fancy a drive up to Silverstone in the New Year?

You bet. The car is soooo smooth on the motorway that I'm very happy to take a trip down south (as it were).
Will be needing a 12k service around April so - is geometry check/setup a part of a 12k service anyway?
What should I expect to pay for the service (including geometry)?
Do you have courtesy cars or can you do it in 1 day?
