Does anyone know which car the Chimaera sun visors are from?

And..

Is it possible to change any of the instrument bulbs without removing the dash?

The sun visors are TVR made

Yes you can change instrument lamps without removing the dash. You'll need to lift the top off to gain access. Do a search 'remove dash top'.

If you are doing this because the speedo lamp is not as bright as the tacho lamp then think again. That's how they are made.

OK but do a search, you'll find that the sun visors are TVR specific.

You could just buy new....

Agree, but "Sun visors" are something I just can't see TVR having specialy made.

I don't need to buy new visors mine are fine - I just wanted to 'upgrade' and figure it would help to know the starting point in terms of them being vauxhall/ford or whatever.

I don't reckon TVR would have made them.

See here

TVR make many of the interior parts. Mechanicals are mostly sourced from mainstream manufacturers but soft interior parts are made in house

Wanting to know 'source vehicle' had nothing to do with cost - purely looking to upgrade to something that can pivot on one hinge to allow use on side windows, a 'donor' vehicle would have been a good starting to point to track down 'same size' upgrades.

Thanks TVRBOB I have always noticed this on mine and thinking it was a problem was going to sort it out. Another job off the list! Cheers, Brian

Regarding the dash bulbs, does anyone suffer from the full beam indicator light being too bright? I wish it was on hte front of the car as I thinks it's brighter than my head lights! Is it possible to put a smaller bulb in or should I just stick to resting a postcard on top of the steering wheel?!

it's an LED not a bulb, so you may be able to put a resistor in series with it to lower the brightness ???
