TFauctions.com And Jago Announcement !!
Discussion
I haven’t posted on here for many months but would like to share the great news we have about the Jago name with those of you involved with and working on Jagos.
As some of you are aware I run an auction site dedicated to Transformers with my brother. We have recently upgraded our site, which has been officially approved by toy giants Hasbro, and in line with the brand new look to the site we decided to introduce a site mascot to act as a spokesperson for the site to our fans.
The mascot is based on my own Jago, which I purchased earlier this year. We felt that choosing a Jago was a good way to ensure people could actually see the mascot up close and personal at the shows and conventions we visit and we’re hoping it helps to raise the profile of Jagos in the UK.
We contacted Geoff Jago himself for his approval to use the Jago logo and history for promotional use and after a few very friendly chats on the phone and some paperwork from us he happily agreed. This allows TFauctions.com to use the Jago name and logo to showcase the mascot and hopefully allow Transformer fans to get into the kit car hobby.
We have been blessed by having one of the most talented comic book artists around, Guido Guidi, to actually design ‘Cougar’ and to also figure out how he would transform from Geep to robot and back again. Examples of Guidos work can be found here.
Once we have secured the copyright for the robot image I’ll post it up, until then thanks for your time and I hope this brings a smile to the Jago club and its many owners. I think it’s a great way for the club to see out the year 2005.
BTW: Tried posting this on the other forum but cant, seems my account has been limited ?
