Why don't Bodybuilders go Bald thru Testosterone?
Discussion
remember when hearing that baldness is a sign of male fertility?
an which i heard is proven by a high testosterone blood count?
...well i also heard bodybuilders take synthetic testosterone in their food to boost muscle growth...
thus, why hasnt the extra testosterone consumed made them bald?
ps- an if the opening statement is true, then does that mean women with a high testosterone count are more fertile than on average?
[sorry but i wonder about weird sh1t like this]

Bit of a myth about baldness proving that a fella has high testosterone levels. Male pattern baldness is an inherited characteristic. One medical article somewhere claimed that hair follicles in men with mpb becoem more sensitive to testosterone than yer average follicle. As testosterone levels fall with age you'd think we'd get more hairy ... now when it comes to laydees...
Bodybuilders who use testosterone (or any other form of steroid use) usually use it in what is known as a 'stack'. This is basically a whole bunch of drugs, protiens and other supplements specific to each individual. Hair loss is a recognised side effect (amongst many) of testosterone and there are several substances that can be added to your 'stack' to help prevent it.
Of course many bodybuilders / strength atheletes have a drug-free stack.
Protien, multi-vitamins, fish oils, garlic and creatine supplements are my weapons of choice.
That and more chicken and fish than you can shake a stick at!

in fact maybe next century althetes may be geneticly modified to perform better.
also i wonder about the side effects of female bodybuilding, coz i heard if women do it they grow facial hairs an the voice deepens, an scalp hair thins.
tho i wonder what the psychological changes might be as theres bound to be some surely...?

On the other hand:

That last picture makes we wonder if there's any tall versions, coz then you'd have the proverbial 'amazon' stereotype wouldn't you? - tho real for once !
i guess she'll need to be 6ft tall an muscular - whereas the ones ive seen are so short theyre more like female hobbits on steriods.
an kylie minogue in a xena costume is Not an amazon!
then again, maybe the amazon myth will remain so until tall women take up bodybuilding...

Apparently, if lady bodybuilders take too much testosterone it enlarges a certain part of their female anatomy! Looks like a thumb if they go too far!
Yup,, their jaw thickens, their voices deepen and their breasts disappear due to low bodyfat %
Did anyone see that documantary a few months on the english girl competing in the Ms Olympia - do a google search on Iris Kyle - she won it last year. Not nice...
Male pattern baldness is more due to the amount of the enzyme 5 alpha reductase that converts testosterone into DHT (dihydrotestosterone) that the amount of testosterone you have. You can have lots of testosterone floating about but if you don't convert it you do nothing with it.
Male pattern baldness has to do with the amount of this enzyme you have near your hair follicles, the enzyme converts the testosterone to DHT which acts to shrink the follicle making the hair thin and eventually it stops growing.
