I am on my husbands account who owns an S reg Chimaera, he is away is Iraq for six months leaving me with this car! It wont start, battery is flat and the immobiliser has froze on. Any suggestions? I have contacted three mechanics to assist all of which failed to turn up.
Sorry to sound so girlie, but its been sat still for four weeks and its starting to smell expensive!

Join the AA/RAC/Green Flag, wait for the required period (24 hours?) then call them. (you'll need the home start option of coursE). They will get it going - the AA and RAC at least have a database they can tap into to find out how to get in/get it started. I'm assuming the car can reside where it is for another day or two.
If the car is parked in a safe place I suggest a trickle charger/battery conditioner to stop this happening again. Leven Technology sell one called an 'Accumate'.

Would strongly recommend a trickle charger when you get it up and running. My husband is away in Iraq alot, and I drive my car most of the time, due to weather, kids and dog. And the cerb sits in the garage on trickle charge so its ready to go when I get the urge to take it for a run.
Bought mine from a Halfords type shop, works fine, has a trickle charge and a booster charge if needed.

I would also like to add that a trickle charger/battery conditioner is an absolute necessity, especially if the Chim isn’t going to be used for long periods, you are lucky if the car starts after only a couple of weeks of non use! If the battery is salvageable, you do really need to get a charger and leave it plugged in.

.....or drive the car lots while your hubby is away.
It does sound like a flat battery so not the end of the world. As Chris says, they can drain in 2 weeks.
Just in case I'm cleverer than I look (yeah I know, doubtful!)...
If the trickle charge option has also failed - I have found in the past when battery completely dead, trickle charge did not help as immobilizer was frozen.
If this is what you mean - s'not easy unless you're very flexible - but crawl down to battery box (behind passenger footwell - end wall has little hole at top to pull away). Get yourself a 10mm/13mm spanner and loosen one of the terminals of the battery and lift off. No more than a minute should do it. Then re apply, and immobilizer should be reset (poss with wailing alarm too!)
seems trickle charge never quite enough oomph to reset immobilizer, and above gives instant 12v in one hit.
If anyone knows of an easier way, please let me know coz it's most uncomfortable when you're over 6ft and not flexible.
