Just had the door trim off to find central locking motors mounted and some tape type wires that go off under the dash, so should my 92 400 have remote central locking ?? I have no zapper, can you buy the bits for this ?? Is there a control box thingy in the dash ?? would it have been controlled by the alarm, which I have removed ??? can I buy an aftermarket kit which I could use ????

A lot of alarms have the facility, but you can also buy just a remote locking kit.

The actuating motors are the same as what does the boot, except the boot motor only has to pull one way. I have just put the motors back in action on the doors aswell as replacing the door lock that could be opened with a lollipop stick! They are MK2 Escort by the way, not Capri!!
