Ive just found out about a new piece of equipment "Dunlop Gauges". Just wondering if anyone could explain to me how they work?

I assume you are talking about dunlop tracking gauges?

these are optical alighment gauges for setting tracking between the wheels of the same axle.

This could be very complicated to explain but to try and cut things short the gauges push up against each wheel so they will be parallel to each wheel(you can only do one axle at a time). They have an optical sight on one and a mirror on the other. The sight is moved to align a line and arrow in the sight. This in turn will give you a reading on the end of one gauge in degrees and minutes and toe in or toe out. You also have to make sure you zero the scale with the gauges against each other before you use them.

I have a pic of them in use if you email me I can send it to you as I have never posted a pic before

I'm sure 1101 of you will now tell me how!

Don't forget to make sure they are reading zero/correctly calibrated before you use them.
