Evening all,

Arrived back today after 2 weeks away from the car. Used the key to open the door, sat inside and put the key in the ignition. As soon as I turned it I head a click at the alarm went off. I have not been able to start the car. There is power as the lights, radio and alarm work. Is it possible that I do not have enough juice to start it?

I will search the forum for some jump starting advice. Car is a BOXSTER (986)

Any advice appreciated.

Which system do you have. I am currently having problems with my PA1000 on 993 - though I hope to be able to report a solution soon.

Probably charging the battery is a good place to start

99.9% sure you have a flat battery - I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago - bought a Bosch Silver Star (72AH I think) for £60 from these guys:

OK, tried to jump start the call but to no avail. Dead cells I expect.

Can anyone recommend a replacement battery for a MY 01 Boxster. I am looking at getting a Bosch (Silver) 88 amp.

Thanks,

A
