Currently have PZero's fitted to my S1 Elise, which seem poor in the wet, not as good as SO2s on my old TVR. What other tyres have been tried and were they any better? Particularly interested in experience of Goodyear F1s, Bridgestone SO3s and Yokahamas

The S02's were a lovely tyre, nice and grippy although they do tend to overheat in the dry before 1/2 wear . . .

The S03 is also grippy when wet, similar to the old S02.

Yoko Advan Neova's (the S1 specific tyre) are IMHO grippier than S02 or S03, and have a much better ride quality.

I've run 4 sets of S02's a set of Pirellis and am currently running a set of Advans (with a 1/2 worn set of S02's in the garage) . . .

I rate the Advans highly although you pay a little more for that privelage . . .

I swopped my P Zero's for Goodyear Eagle F1's and they are great, in the wet the grip is fantastic and the rear will only step out if i want it to in 1st or 2nd. At high speed even in the wet the rear doesn't go much, and if it does, it is very progressive. In the dry you feel like the car could go round any corner at any speed.
