Brake fluid reservoir cap - replacement

Hello

I need to replace the brake fluid reservoir cap - the one with the yellow nipple, ahem - on my '96 Griff 500. I'm sure it's exactly the same as the one that was on my first car, a Ford Fiesta of the same year, but I'm not certain.

Does anyone know for sure what car it's from? Best place to get one?

AFAIK the reservoir is Fiesta, so I'd assume the cap is too. Try and read off a part no from the cap and cross reference with a friendly Ford garage (who'll probably be the cheapest source).

Any scrap yard will be full of Fords fitted with the same type of reservoir cap. Typical '90's Fords such as Fiesta, Escort, Sierra, Mondeo all have the same cap fitting. I paid £2 for one including connector plug.

Thanks. I may well get one at a scrappy if I can find one locally - just moved into the area. For anyone who might stumble upon this thread in future, here's the number off the top of the cap...

Ford 89 FB-2L 414-A A

89FB is indeed Fiesta 89 being the model year FB is Fiesta
