As a late Christmas present to myself, just bought a 350D body only from Jessops. Unfortunately I should have been a bit quicker and got the cashback ... oh well.

Had to be a Canon as I already had two film bodies, two zoom lenses, flash, remote release, ...

Did humm and hah a bit between the 350D and the 20D but in the end couldn't justify the price differential. Also I took my lenses in to Jessops and tried the handling with them attached, as I was a little worried about the small size.

Also I wanted a fast reasonably wide lens so got a Sigma 28mm F1.8 prime from warehouseexpress - Jessops didn't have it in stock. No pics so far (I've only taken it out of the box and attached it to the camera), but what a nice lens, case and lens hood included. Sigma will certainly see some more of my hard-earned ...

I am a relatively keen amateur digital photographer and was thinking about getting myself a 350D as a first SLR (I've never had a traditional SLR) I have a sony V1 just now which has many SLR like features and love it.

Anyone have any advice they would be so kind as to give?
