Cherished plate
Discussion
I was going to put this on 'General Gassing' but having looked it doen't seem right - so where better than here?
I have a cherished plate on retention which I no longer want or need. Elite Registrations keep sending me mailshots asking me to send £100+ to them to advertise it, which seems like a lot to gamble away for no sure result.
Has anyone had a good experience of a web-based site which is cheap and effective? (the plate bears no resemblance to any interesting cars)

I have a plate for sale with them at the moment, there were two options pay for advertising, or take less if they sell it without any upfront fee. Went for the latter and still have it. SLP initials if anyone is interested.

Go to www.car-links.co.uk, choose Accessorising a Car from the menu then select Cherised Registrations and you'll find a few options on there.

It's 300 BHX - bought for a Mercedes 300CE. Most of the non-dating '300' plates were about £2,000, but this was £800 as the 'X' makes it less desirable.
I didn't mention the number before as I hadn't advertised it with PH and didn't want to incur the wrath of the Tedmonster - but since then I've found out I can advertise it on PH for free, so I have, so now I can tell what it is! Hurrah!
Bernard Harry Xylophone, where are you mate?
