I need 2 new TV's. The portable in my bedroom I have had since I was 15 is finally on its way out and I need one for the living room.

The one for the bedroom, I was thinking of an LCD to put on the wall, about 15 or 17 inches.

The living room, widescreen, 32 inches (so I dont have to wear my glasses to see it).

I like Panasonic or Samsung or JVC.

So which is the best to get for each model and where from..?

Kelkoo hasnt been much help as there are not many reviews.

Claire

PS...Sky..? (money is an issue at the mo)or a freeview box..? (having trouble with a loaned Phillips freeview box as the signal, even with a booster, is low in the apartments where I am).

You'll find low prices at www.ebuyer.com

Excellent outfit, but TV's are not their main products.

Richer Sounds are excellent - national chain and they know their stuff. And at least 33% cheaper than Currys or Comet.

I bought a 32" LCD yesterday from Novatech www.novatech.co.uk They take the Phillips 32", stick their own box on it and then sell it on for £450-00 cheaper. Don't know how they do it really.

While mentioning that subject, are there any other companies that take a product from a well respected company (phillips mentioned here) and simply re-badge/re-box the product and sell it cheaper even tho its essentially the same internals as the more expensive product.

I bought a Tandy calculator once and when opening it to change the battery the inside plastic was stamped 'Casio'
Phillips and LD LCD Tv's have the same internal components. I believe The Porsche Boxster and Braun hairdryers share the same power unit
