Is it just me or is the chav-fed proliferation of 'celebrities' adorning our TV screens these day's really getting out of control? When I was a lad people on TV were there because they had a talent: acting, music, presenting, comedy and the like... now all you need do is be the darling of the rising underclass with no talent whatsoever other than being in the right place at the right time, then doing the rounds of "celebrity *insert banal title here*.

So, to help me vent my disdain for these ameoba's here's a thread to name and shame our personal worst 'celebs', with pics.

I'll kick off with:

Rebecca Loos, if you didn't already know. Once upon a time she was a nanny. Then she (allegedly) shagged a famous footballer. Now paraded around all manner of 'celeb' show's or appears on "top 100 *insert banal title here*" passing commentary on whatever subject matter is chosen that week. WHAT THE FCK IS THAT ALL ABOUT? GET OFF MY TV VAPID TALENTLESS COW

John McCirick.

Stick to horse racing. You're not eccentric. You're just a dirty, self opinionated old fool who likes big women, a sort of real life Professor Peach.

Anyone who used to be in a boy band.

Oh, and Darren Day. A of the highest order.

At least John 'has a talent'; I mean he actually is known for something. And he hasn't milked it really. He may be a pr!ck, but not in this catagory. Jade is of course the uber-chavlordette of the whole thing. Big Brother has a lot to answer for.

That's outragous. Next you'll be critisizing that amazingly talented lady called Tara-Palmer-Tomkinsfacethingieperson. She's famous for being skilled in...er...um...hmm...uh... - being a celebrity!

First we had talentless nobodies wanting to be famous; Big Brother, X Factor etc

Now we have talentless celebrities wanting another bite at the cherry - I'm A Celebrity, Celeb Big Brother/Fat s/X-Factor/Come Dancing/etc

Where will it end?

Unfortunately, we get what we deserve - lowest-common-denominator TV for lowest-common-denominator audiences.

I ing hate celebrities! If someone's done something good, or is very entertaining or a great actor or something, then fine. But the key qualification for celebrity these days seems to be being a complete, cretinous, talentless sell-out!

Edit - Am I correct in my rationale that the more talented a person is, the less he or she tends to shout about it? ie they simply let their talent do the talking?

Talentless chav worship comes along with "recreational grieving" and other idiotic appeals to the lowest common denominator that are ever more prevalent.

Ever notice that these pointless oxygen wasters tend to appear on the "lowest common denominator" TV thats slowly creeping across the airwaves.
